ArAnimA

ArAnimA is an innovative cultural concept:
the Association's aim is to bring animal and landscape artists, art lovers, collectors and environmentalists together to work towards a common goal: the preservation of endangered species and habitats.

ArtAnimA who are we?

The idea of linking animal and landscape art to the environmental cause is not new.
Our originality is to have given the idea substance: the ArAnimA Association. This non-profit making organization, allows animal and landscape artists as well as amateurs and buyers who have been waiting for exactly this kind of opportunity to support the cause of Ecology and Wildlife Conservation.

The Association has already come to the attention of the French government and received encouragement from the Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development.

The founder and President of ArAnimA is Sybille Aubree: French gold medalist for artistic achievement (Medaille d'Or du Merite et Devouement Francais dans la categorie des Arts), member of the prestigious Taylor Foundation (Fondation Taylor) and industrial strategy and development consultant.
ArAnimA was designed to promote animal and landscape art while at the same time transforming the sympathy that the artists, art lovers and potential buyers feel towards conservation matters into something more concrete.  They agree to donate a percentage of the proceeds of their sales to conservation organizations.

There can no longer be any doubt of the terrible and urgent necessity to preserve our planet and the idea of rallying wildlife and scenic artists to the cause of Conservation on an international scale is particularly relevant in today's world.

The registration of ArAnimA as a recognized Association on December 31st 2009 was our first big step on the road to adventure; taken thanks to the enthusiasm and dedication of its founding members.
In September 2010 there was an important event in Aranima's development when we met a group of artists and organizers involved in an art exhibition at the Paris Polo Club entitled Evasions Equestres (Equestrian Escapades). We found to our delight that we had a great deal in common and held similar views. By May 2011 we had got to know each well enough to decide to join forces and we have been working together since then on ArAnimA's first exhibition, which will be held at WWF France in honour of its 50th birthday.

ArAnimA's team consists of Sybille Aubree: President, Corinne Dupeyrat: Vice President, Laetitia Plinguet (architect and artist): General Secretary, Joanna Hair (animal sculptor) and Bruno Bourdenave (independent researcher): administrators.
Corinne and Laetitia initiated the highly successful Evasions Equestres project which had the honour of welcoming a former French president, Valery Giscard d'Estaing, among its many distinguished visitors.

ArAnimA has already attracted a lot of attention and it is now proud to count among its members of honour a number of well-known and prestigious figures such as Jacques Perrin, Yves Coppens,  Pascal Picq Virginia Mc KENNA et Jacqueline Mc GLADE.

Our philosophy is one of working towards a shared ideal by pooling skills, ideas and resources. We're open to suggestions. Willing and keen to collaborate with other like-minded organizations from around the world and welcome their interest and input. ArAnimA embodies an ambitious project that goes beyond national boundaries, as does the ecology of our planet.

Building up an association like ArAnimA takes a lot of time and hard work, which its members are happy to undertake on an entirely voluntary basis in a friendly, family atmosphere.  Although each member is an expert in their own field we certainly aren't experts on everything and sometimes have to rely on sheer enthusiasm, energy and goodwill to carry us through. But we are all convinced it's worth the trouble.
We know we'll make it work because we believe in what we're doing!

A very warm welcome to all those who want to join us!
